Kiran Jethwa nominated as International TV Personality Of The Year – by The Association Of International Broadcasting in London
KIRAN JETHWA, Kenya’s celebrity chef and co-owner of Seven Restaurants has been nominated for The 10th Annual AIB awards- a Festival celebrating best factual TV, radio and online production award 2014 in the Category of the [INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION PERSONALITY] for his show {Tales from the Bush Larder} currently airing locally on Zuku, channel 100, internationally on 24 Kitchen, Nat Geo people and Nat Geo Wild.
Presented by the The Association of International Broadcasting, the INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION PERSONALITY is a cross-discipline award recognizing the contributions of personality’s who are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and possess that “something” that makes their audiences pay attention to their shows.
Kiran has been nominated amongst a star studded line up, including:
Christiane Amanpour, Chief International Correspondent for CNN, host of CNN International’s nightly interview program Amanpour. Amanpour is also a Global Affairs Anchor of ABC News.
Richard Quest– anchors Quest Means Business., Hosts the monthly program CNN Business Traveller and CNN Marketplace in Europe. He formerly anchored the monthly show Quest and the daily show CNN Today that was geared towards morning audiences in Europe
Pia Castro DW Deutsche Welle– Radio and television journalist with over 10 years experience in presenting the morning radio program ” Eating breakfast ” on Berlin radio RBB, & “voice with Latin accent ” in Germany.
Ted Failon– a Filipino broadcast journalist, radio commentator, and a former congressman representing the first district of Leyte, Philippines, from 2001 to 2004.
The awards will be presented at a gala evening in London on 5 November 2014, hosted by the BBC’s Matthew Amroliwala, a seasoned on-air presenter at the BBC and a familiar face to audiences in the UK and around the world.
The Awards is organized by The Association for International Broadcasting an industry association and global knowledge network for the international broadcasting industry with members from all around the world.
